Current overview 11/05/09: Mario and Sam Otero are living and working to advance the Kingdom of God in Tuxtla Gutierrez, Chiapas, Mexico. They are working together with Pepe, Leah & the rest of the Martinez family, as well as the church they pioneered three years ago called Vida Abundante which means 'Abundant Life.' Mario and Sam hope to see the church in Tuxtla united and working together for the glory of God.
Mario is compelled to do the work of an evangelist and equip the church to do the same. He runs evangelism training courses coupled with outreach to all ages and is seeing a growing unity between the city's youth groups. There are numerous salvations via various outward focused 'home' groups that he attends many nights of the week, and in conjunction with this he is teaching new Christians' training meetings to build up those new in the faith.
Sam brings a passion for integrity in worship and runs movement in worship groups to a number of groups each week to encourage freedom in movement and worship before God as we use all our mind, soul and strength in doing so.
A number of pioneering couples are leaving Vida Abundante and the city to begin new works around Mexico in the near future and we'll be supporting and working with them both before and during this time of church planting.
